Medical Services
The St. Andrew’s Migrant Worker Medical Centre (SAMWMC) set up by the St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital (SAMH) is one of the six medical centres for migrant workers that the Ministry of Manpower had planned as part of a new and integrated primary medical care plan for all migrant workers in Singapore.
With initial seed funding and support from MigrantWell, the medical centre was set up to serve the community and officially launched in February 2022. Nestled within the Penjuru Recreation Centre, the medical centre is a well-equipped primary care facility catering to approximately 67,000 workers in the vicinity with state-of-the-art infrastructure and services.
It offers an array of vital services including medical examinations, vaccinations, telemedicine consultations, and medical follow-ups. The centre also bridges care gaps with dental treatments, physiotherapy, and psychological care.
Dental Services
Dental services prioritise treatment for dental-related infections which cause long-term discomfort over dental maintenance including diagnostic services like dental examination, X-rays, routine services comprising of tooth decay treatments, tooth extractions and common dental surgeries such as surgical excision of wisdom teeth.

Psychological Services
Psychological Services play a vital role in aiding emotionally distressed workers, mitigating potential escalation of distress linked to deportation threats and family separation. Casework management further aids workers in resolving family, financial, and complex issues. This support works in tandem with mental health counselling under PCP, encouraging workers to seek comprehensive help for their overall well-being.
Physiotherapy Services
Physiotherapy services are dedicated to preserving workers’ musculoskeletal health and preventing the worsening of injuries. These services encompass diagnostic examinations of orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, and neuropathic issues, followed by rehabilitative and maintenance therapy for pain management and common musculoskeletal disorders like lumbar, knee, and cervical issues. The primary aim is to maintain physical health and prevent injury exacerbation.
